I had the oportunity to watch the new bloodfest entitled the "300" and was amazed not at the blood and carnage but at the parralels which are present between the Persian Greek War and today.  The king Leonodeus like President Bush was accused of going to war illegally against the Persian empire.  So far we have heard this ranting from the left for many years.  He was small in number but did what he believed was right in order to save his people, just as our fine soldiers are taking the war to the Persians once again.  He chose to fight on a battleground of his choosing rather than at the walls of the city.  Again I say look at the present as we fight not on our soil but on that of the enemy saving our women and children from the horrors of the carnage.  In the movie the council of Sparta was shown to have traitors amongst it.  Lest we forget that Jimmy Carter is funded by the Wahabbist's and that Bill Clinton sold bedroom time in the White House. 
As I watched I was overcome with the feeling that again we are doomed to repeat history because we have not learned from it.  Soon due to inaction Iran will have nuclear weapons.  I wonder which American city will be the first to feel the heat of the blast?  There are claims that there were no WMD's found in Iraq yet we have photographs of Spaznetz Russian troops in Chemical Weapons Suits loading drums onto semi trailers which were hauled to Syria.  We have weapons "cookers" which had but hours before being found been bleached.  We have a legilature in Washington that for the most part is inept and incompetent if not outright on the payroll of some enemy of our country. 
Like the Spartans we will be destroyed only to rise from the ashes after the weak are killed and the carnage reaches the front step.  Unfortunatly in todays world with the weapons available it will be the end of civilization due to the weak spine of politicians who are afraid of making a stand. 
I have found that in watching Washington that it will take an attack of such magnatude to wake up the beltway that the repercussions will be felt world wide.
I do not know if this is the beginning of the appeasement that will lead to WW3  but I am sure that the next world war will be fought with stones and sticks.

As I go through my day and keep up on the news as I do I have come to the conclusions that life is imitating art.  For those of you who remember there were lyrics of our time.  The lyrics "Clowns to the left of me, Jokers to the Right, Here I am stuck in the Middle"  I listened as the left pulled out the old cliches at the most recent conference.  I am appalled at the plans made by the Democrats for America.  At this rate there will be a chicken in every pot and a mule and 40 acres promised before this is over.  I watch as the Congress plays out with the same tune that the Riechstag played prior to the emergence of Hitler and the Russian Duma prior to the October Revolution.  As we all remember niether of those situations worked out.  We have Hillary spouting Marxism and The Democrats calling for social security for illegal immigrants.  We have a border war in Arizona everyone including Senator McCain is Ignoring and a terrorist network using the courts to institute Sharia Law.  This has already been done in Canada and they are attempting to do so here under the guise of religious freedom.  So I look and bewildered that the American People sit back and do nothing. 

There are those who truly wonder about the survival of the USA as a Constitutional Republic.  I am one of those.  As a soldier I took an oath to protect and defend the Constitution from all enimies both foriegn and DOMESTIC.  Is Hillary's call for nationalization of oil companies an attack on the Constitution?  Is Sen.  Kerry's violation of the UCMJ an attack against the Constitution?  Is the refusal to protect our soverign borders and attack against the Constitution?  Is the extension of the 9th District court into the private lives of citizens an attack?  And if such items are attacks against the Constitution it is our duty as citizens to defend against such attacks.  So far the rebuttals have all been in a verbal form.  But as was said by one commentator when will the bullets start flying? 

In this which was the Greatest Nation on Earth we are being torn apart.  Recently I discussed the concept of social upheaval and the idea of secular humanism with an athiest.  My reply was that if the basis is if it feels good do it and that you have a right to do what you choose to do without government constraint then there was no reason not to shoot this man where he stood.  It was amazing that when taken to the rational extreme the secular humanist theory falls apart.  It is in God we Trust not the Government and or leaders need to be reminded that if they choose to ignor history the people as Thomas Jefferson so blatantly put it "have a responsibility to remove by force that government which is disavowing the Constitution"  Jefferson thought that we would have another revolution in 100 years at most.  We did only because it was defeated it was called the Civil War and Lincoln change history of this Great Republic.  Turning it from a representative democracy into a Republic and abolish the idea of States Rights.

Now we again stand at a cross roads.  There are clowns to the left of me and Jokers to the right.  I am glad I own a gun.
